Lakeridge Shores, was the first luxury gated community to be built in Reno, NV. It is located in Southwest Reno just off the south loop of McCarran Blvd. Development began in the early 1970s, and encompasses about 53 acres surrounding Lake Stanley, a small private lake. Homes in the community are noted for their architecture, location, privacy, common space and water views. The community has about 290 single family homes, townhouses and condominiums. As the first private community of it’s kind, Lakeridge was a draw for many of the premier local architects and has many original home designs. Lakeridge Shores has a number of unique features, one of them being the marina located on Lake Stanley, which restricts watercraft to electric, human or wind-powered. Another unique feature is the signature hole of the Lakeridge Golf course, #15 a par three island green which is located on the southern most end of Lake Stanley. The course a Robert Trent Jones, Sr. design is open to the public and is considered a “must play” course in Reno.
